Pharsopolis
Pharsopolis is the largest city in the Known World and the capital of the Pharsian Empire. The city has nearly a million inhabitants and is home to hundreds of temples and markets, and thousands of gardens and plazas. Pharsopolis was, when it was first constructed, a planned city, and most of its central portion is still organized in neat blocks and large avenues leading to the Grand Palace of the Shah and the gardens surrounding it, however, the outer layer of the city grew chaotically and fast overtime, forming maze-like, narrow alley streets and chaotic bazaars that smell like spices and exotic animals.
Defences
There are still ruins of the first wall of the city, long ago demolished to make room for the ever-expanding households. There's a wall encircling part of the city, the Elephant Wall, being covered in blue tilings, it's 50-meter tall and has seven great gateways, each named after a different animal found in the Empire. The largest and most impressive one is the Elephant Gate, from where the wall take it's name. However, since it's construction, more and more people moved to the capital and now the elephant wall is surrounded by the houses of those not rich enough to be able to afford living within the walls.
