Willow Wight
Prompt: Sentient
This petrified bulb of wood has the visage of a face, often adorned with shambling willow leaves. These are often found near the grounds of willow trees that have been posessed by spirits of the dead. The bulbs fall from the tree after housing a soul, there they are allowed temporary respite, although in a form of undeath the spirit can communicate through it's new form. These are often used to transport sprits to a final resting place, allowing the spirit to offer guidance, and knowledge to those that seek to help. However these do not last long, as the longer it takes the more restless the sprits come, and in turn rot the bulb.
