THE FARNORIAN ELVES

The Farnorian Elves live in the expansive lush Farnor Forests which grow along the south-eastern coasts of the Sea of Bathemeids, under the banner of the Golden Tree. They are a secluded and rather isolationist people, but are nevertheless loyal, helpful and merry with their friends. The elves of Farnor have long born a grudge against the High Elves and their succeeding Garendians, who claimed the forests for their own, and cut them down, building great cities of white marble and immense mansions in their place. Often called the Wood-Elves, the Farnorians live in treehouses in the forests they call home, and are ruled by their own king, who resides in his palace in the forest canopy.
