THE KARZONIC DUCHIES

The Karzonic Duchies, who rule the foothills and valleys to the south of Mekohedia, are considered by many to be a wild and fearsome people. It is rumoured that these men, who are shorter and swarthier than their northern brethren, are in fact half-Dwarven, being born from dwarf and human parents. This remains disputed, although it is evident that their High King bears dwarven blood, which is likely the reason for his ferocity and grimness. Due to the fact that the Karzonic peoples live close by to the evil and orcs of the Dark-Lands, it comes as little surprise that the lands of Karzon often ally with the forces of dark to invade their hated northern kin; as a result, Karzonics are often referred to as “Men of Evil”. And with their warriors clad in black and red, and their banner a red dragon a pitch black field, and also their reputation, there is little wonder why.
