When detecting magic, a Ley Line is a thread of the weave that is stronger than the rest. It is the supporting thread that others connect to and draw from, forming a web that wraps around the world and encases it.

Localization

Where these Ley Lines meet magical potential is at its highest. Ancient circles of druids discovered that such places existed and constructed great circles of stones all around Caanae as a marker. They used these circles to conduct rituals to enrich nature and watch over the natural world.
