Raxas

Divine Domains

Raxas is the Prime Deity in the Sphere of Chaos, a realm of unpredictability and spontaneity. As the supreme ruler, Raxas commands respect and allegiance from all other gods within this realm. Each god has unique domains and followers, but they all operate under Raxas' watchful eye. Raxas' authority is unchallenged and absolute, making them responsible for all activities and proceedings within the Sphere of Chaos. This authority may seem paradoxical given the chaotic nature of the sphere, which resists order and hierarchy. However, instead of being a social, political, or divine order, Raxas represents the chaos from which the universe and the gods of Chaos derive their own chaos.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Followers of the Cults of Raxas, as well as those individuals who are not necessarily members but who nonetheless wish to summon or invoke the presence of Raxas, utilize a highly specific and symbolic representation of a snake. This is not just any snake, but one that is depicted in a circular formation. The body of the snake is carefully drawn to twist and coil upon itself a total of six times, forming a repeating pattern that is both mesmerizing and significant. The head of the snake, however, breaks this repetitive pattern. Instead of following the cycle of the body, the snake's head is portrayed as bursting forth, jutting outwards from the constraints of the circular form. This visual symbol, rich in underlying meaning, is a key component of the rituals and practices associated with the Cults of Raxas.
