Emir, The Sun God
Itar, Aen, Helia, and Emir are just a few of the countless names given to the deity who drives the very life of all that is known and shall be upon this earth. In the The Doctrine of the Four Moons that prevails over the lives of most common folk, Emir is the father/mother to all. Born of dust motes in the Void, this being emerged in radiant light and fire. Palatium, the Celestial Court itself, came into being in an instant, along with all other celestial bodies known to man. Cael, the earth, was born of the same dust and kept in a special place within the sun god's warmth.
Direct petition of Emir is not usually done by the common people: it is seen as akin to a beggar petitioning the king. They reach out instead to any of the sun god's countless children, whether it be a moon god or stellar courtier of the Doctrine, or one of the spirits known in Animism. There are those blessed few who dare attempt to interpret the will of Emir, such as the Oracle of Yeni, and generally only on behalf of high-ranking Doctrine leaders or for pure-blooded royalty. Those who make up the ranks of this small and exclusive priesthood are known as Curates, and the organization in which they serve is The Creed of Elihin.

While all of creation ever touched by the light is thought to be of their making, only a few are considered to be as close as true children. Those known by name to mortals are Elim, The Horned Hunter and Cael, earth-home to all. There exist rumours of others, but most contemporary scholars dismiss this notion.
