Aethelynd

The name “Aethelynd” can be found in both legend and historical text. However, varying descriptions of the entity have, at best, left a muddled account of who—or what—Aethelynd is or was. Indeed, because these mentions are found scattered across multiple continents of Caelvoran, and with such inconsistencies, most scholars discount it as an artifact in historical and fictional texts. At best, Aethelynd is considered a metaphor for the role a hero’s faith plays in their journeys and the comfort it provides.   The Dragon Punchers discovered Aethelynd trapped within the Prismarc Oubliette in the Glittering Wastes of Khard. Powerful magic wrought by members of the Ushers of Seudihr forced the silver dragon into the form of a young girl, with no memory of their true nature. Released from their prison, the ancient creature accompanied the adventuring band as they attempted to save their friend Micah of Nid from the malign influence of Cordyceps.
