Lolth, while despised by many of the pantheon, earned a grudging respect during the war against the Wretched. Her underhanded and devious ways won the day on numerous occasions. Scheming and treachery are her commands, and her priests are now a constant force of disruption in the otherwise stable society of the Drow. Lolth has always been a cruel and demanding goddess that expects absolute loyalty from her followers. Even after the Rift, she will often test them and selects drow of great skill and power for her trials. If the drow succeeds in the trial, they will become a drider, but they are killed if they fail.
