Session 116: Rifts & Reunion
General Summary
Jinn regained consciousness and took stock of his surroundings. It appeared he was still in the old warehouse, though his companions had all disappeared. Looking outside, the space was eerily familiar, yet foreign. His consciousness seemed to have shaped itself into an approximation of the streets of Mas'Uld. The prince warily navigated the space, passing strange entities and landmarks, in search of Chari. Finally, he came across a pool bearing the symbol of Avandra. Not knowing what else to do, Jinn took a leap of faith.
The remaining Dragon Punchers and their allies kept watch over Jinn's body. When a set of strange entities crawled through the rift created by Filven's magic, they were thrown into a fight for their lives to stop the creatures from severing Jinn's connection to his body.
While his friends fought on the material plane, Jinn faced troubles of his own. He had found Chari. However, her consciousness had shattered from its time in the ley line. He was unsure how to bring her back. In a last-ditch effort, Jinn attempted to pray to Avandra for guidance, hoping the goddess would intervene on Chari's behalf. Instead, the rogue found himself negotiating with an ancient, unknown being. Desperate and seeing no other option, Jinn agreed to plant the seeds of this entity's worship in exchange for bringing Chari back.
Jinn came to and dove into battle to help his friends, not realizing the shadowy antlers or dark energy that suffused his attacks. Bart, however, took note of this alarming new development. The last creature fell and the group stopped to catch their breath. In that moment, a name came to Jinn: Beshaba.
