Session 183: Holes & Hostages

"I tripped a lot of wizards today, Bart."

General Summary

Chari dropped down into the hole to take a look around. Below she found carved tunnels branching out in several directions, but thought better of exploring on her own.
The rest of the Dragon Punchers joined her and, after setting off a toxic gas trap, found their way into a chamber filled with body parts, meat, bone, and sinew from various creatures. It appeared to be Messeneth's storehouse. The room was tended to by an oozing entity which they quickly dispatched before moving on.
Deeper in the tunnels the group ambushed a pair of robed individuals, one of whom bore a resemblance to Catriona Amhlaidh. Jinn was surprised when, instead of crumpling to the floor, the man he stabbed became a gaping portal and sucked Emlyn inside. The rest of the group managed to knock out the robed woman before she could do much damage.
They recovered Emlyn from the portal, only to find that she had died within. Quick work from Bart brought her back, but solidified the need for the group to rest before continuing on. Jinn went on to scout ahead. The tunnel opened up into a cavern and a faint light could be seen at the end. However, more deadly traps blocked the way forward.
Before anything else could go wrong, the group elected to take a risk and planeshift to the Feywild, taking advantage of the time difference to rest and recuperate before moving on.
