Session 77: Lightning & Leviathan

"We're going to need a bigger boat"

General Summary

The first few days of the journey were blissfully uneventful for the Dragon Punchers.  They, and Osdra Dai , spent much of their time getting to know the crew of the ship and spending time in Osdra's mansion to fend off the cold.  The only thing that seemed amiss was that rations were being consumed at slightly higher-than-usual pace.  The group believed a stowaway was the most likely culprit.
Jinn followed suspicious sounds on the ship only to discover that Tabitha Burke had squirreled herself aboard for the adventure. While they were pleased to see their friend, the Dragon Punchers were absolutely terrified of the repercussions when Lady Anjah Wilmont-Burke found out.
The first part of the journey progressed with little incident. At one point the group even spotted a pod of mermaids and were able to follow them for a bit. However, as the airship drew closer to their destination it soon became clear that there were powers moving agains them. What started as a few dead and dying birds and fish soon became a hail as the ship was assailed by a bakekujira. It was a harrowing exchange above the seas that nearly ended with several of the party falling to their deaths.
