Vampire

Vampires... or the Old Race as they call themselves. They came from the dark depths 'down below' or so they say and emerged several thousands of years ago. They are like us, but we would consider them to be beautiful, elegant, strong and intelligent people. They are living amongst us but are very carefull. They are very susceptible to sunlight (UV) and need primate blood to keep in shape. They prefer to live in their castles and fortresses when above ground. They run places that allow them to earn money. Like casinos, corporations and some prisons.

Vampires are the humanoid race that where created by Aivitu
His objective to perfect the primates are considered failed according to calculations. In the process of correcting the failures Aivitu added DNA changing components to the primates.

Disaster

When Aivitu had to leave Earth due to the 'disaster', Aivitu calculated a best fit and moved to Venus. He was unaware that a few specimen where left behind. They developed a resillient race of humanoids, due to radiation and the remnants of the DNA changing replicators (self replicating machines created by Aivitu. To flee the harsh environment they went deep underground, where temperatures where much higher. In the years that follow they create a living and breathing world underground.

Note: relation between evolution of Vampires & Humans

Humans and Vampires are both created by Aivitu. (When Aivitu's experiment showed a failure level of 90%, the specimens where discarded as a flawed race. When he did send DNA changing replicators they didn't fix things, but made the primates smart enough to begin their own evolution. The Vampire race whent underground and the continues level of mild radiation changed their DNA so the replicators used the new cells and input.

Vampires have been (very) actively manipulating human society for their own gain and benefit. The side effect is that humans also evolve and gain knowledge. This was not intentional and abhorred by most vampires. A few vampires decided to use this in their advantage and started to teach people. they took some common names from human society. These vampires we know as Aristotle, Plato, Pythagoras, Pericles who's teachings are far reaching in our world.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Long, elongated bodies. their arms and legs are muscular and well formed. They have a fairly hairless body except for their heads. They have facial hair in several styles. A vampire has a small needle like bone in the tip of their tongue to enable them to retrieve fresh flowing blood from a victim as well as to inject a few drops of arousing fluid. The victim feels a sensational tingle during that process. (most male and female think its an excellent kiss)
A Vampire only needs a few drops of blood every few days. The blood of humans is a delight, but they can use blood of animals as well. The blood is needed to accellerate an fusion in their brain.

Genetics and Reproduction

They reproduce very slowly and it is rare when more then one child is born in many years. They can create halfbreeds with their human counterparts. The halfbreed has most human genes and several vampire genes. (they age less quick, have no bloodlust (or capabilities to drink blood) and are overall considered very beautifull persons. Overall they are highly intelligent.)

Growth Rate & Stages

Vampires age slowly and have a few stages:

• Pregnancy. The development of a zygote into an embryo and then into a fetus in preparation for childbirth.
• Infancy. The earliest part of childhood. It is the period from birth through age three.
• Toddler years. Occur during ages three and seven and are the end of early childhood.
• Childhood. Takes place from ages eight to sixteen.
• Puberty. The period from ages fourteen to twentythree, which is the beginning of adolescence.
• Older adolescence. The stage that takes place between ages nineteen and twentyfive.
• Adulthood. The period from adolescence to the end of life and begins at age twentyfour.
• Middle age. The period of adulthood that stretches from age twohundred seventy to sixhundred.
• Senior years, or old age. Extend from age sixhundred until the end of life. (sevenhundred to onetousend)

Oldest vampire ever recorded was twentyfivehundred and seventynine years old.

Ecology and Habitats

Having survived for hundreds of thousends of years underground, they are adept to cold or warm environments. They have developed some innate magic.
They prefer to live in stone structures (like castles) and behave very similar to humans, but are more devious and cunning and certainly very manipulative.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They are omnivores, with a slight carnivore preference. They eat their meat just like humans do, but have a tendency of eating red blooded meat rare. Some of worlds best known chefs are indeed... vampires.

Their biological cycle is very similar to humans, just much slower.

Social Structure

They have a old, very old hyrarchie. They are split up in several castes or dynasties underground. The leaders work together but also want to be on top of the pyramid. Many human wars have been instgated and fought on the vampires behalf just to eliminate the opposite leader. They are using humans to do their bidding. They claim their innocense on the events and blame humans.

Facial characteristics

they look handsome to humans, when they get older they get a more emanciated look. ('sharp faces') due to their lifespan they have difficulties to keep out of sight.

Average Intelligence

They are on average intelligent (IQ 140~150 ) some are very intelligent.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They are very susceptible to magic, especially with the tips of their fingers, can see in the dark (warmth), have an excellent hearing (they can hear nearby heartbeats in a radius of 3-4 meters). They have learned to shut out the loud noises people make using magic. When vampires do so they are less susceptible to the world. (practically forcing them to use the skill on demand in our loud and noisy world)
