Cliff's Keep
When the Lassarans first landed at Carylla Island they found the well preserved ruins of a dwarven fortress, built right into the cliffs of the mountains at the coast, at places sticking out of the cliffs, in other places digging into the fabric of the mountain. Impressed by the craftsmanship of the dwarven master builders they studied the castle, learning about the construction of stone buildings and made their home on the island.
The Lassaran people began tocolonize the surrounding area of the island, constructing small farming villages around the castle, already cultivating the island while their expedition onto the mainland had just set out. After the events that lead to the Foundation of Lassara Rouad Blye returned to Cliff's Keep, expanded on it's foundations, enlarging and fortifying it and made it his family's ancestral seat.
Built right into the cliffs the castle would be hard to siege and even harder to assault, though it has never been tried in known history. It contains a large library (though not as large as the libraries of Blyeholm), and a beautifully designed observatory that leaves one side of the room gaping out towards the open ocean. the walls decorated with murals depicting the ancient Lassarans on their ships, accentuating House Blye's connection to the sea.
