Chilali Panuk
Chilali Alopay Panuk (a.k.a. Dyk)
Chilali grew up as a hunter for the Clan in the Mountains. Her mother died giving birth to her and her twin sister "Jacali". Since then, both retained the unofficial nickname "Dyk", meaning "death" from the clan. The Clan prayed to Goyne (The god of knowledge, invention, and industry). Her Father married again and had 2 additional Children with his new wife.
Those 2 smaller siblings where:
Delshay/boy (meaning Warrior and chief)
Eskaminzim/boy (meaning Big mouth)
Kuruk/boy (meaning Bear) was her only older sibling who protected the twins from the rest of the children in the village, including the smaller siblings who liked to remind them that they caused the death of their mother.
Jacali one day came back with a mountain lion corpse that she killed and earned the respect from everyone in the Village. This Lion was terrorizing the outerlying lands. Since that day, Chilali was the only one who was still teased by the other children while Jacali was praised.
One day the Clan rescued a freezing Bechtlarite Scholar in the snow.
Chilali became friends with the Bechtlarite Scholar. She learned the truth about Goyne. (About Goyne instigating the Blight and had been the one of the primary reasons for it to come about.). Only the Clan elders knew of this and wanted that knowledge to be forgotten. Her Grandfather (Jorgan Panuk) and her Father knew of this.
The Scholar told her about the goddess "Sinufae" and what she represented. Chilali asked her grandmother about it and she affirmed it. The clan is, as is normal for them, very strict with tutoring combat and general knowledge but her siblings (with the exception of the oldest) did their best to undermine her at every chance given. After that, she had enough of the lies and teasing and told everyone that she planned to go and offer her talent the rest of the world. The rest of her siblings, excluding the oldest and nicest, felt "encouraged" to give her a proper goodbye and beat her and sliced her arms, telling her not to come back because she would not be an actual Hiversteadians without the courage to stand up against them. Even Liluye was, for some "reason", for the first time hurting her twin sister that evening.
Chilali went away that night and never looked back. She shaved her head to left the past behind and went into the world.
Since that day she always covered her arms in bandages as a symbol to her and of faith to the old god, "Sinufae".
She wears hand made goggles that she made out of the traditional mask to protect her eyes from the reflections off the snow.
She wanted to learn more about the "The Benevolent Order of Paradigms" and traveled to cities to find them. On the way she picked up a chameleon that can’t quite manage to match whatever color it is hiding against but could occasionally display distant images or things it has seen.
Chilali met and was recruited in the small town of Carrig's Cross following the utterance of a Somnambulist, and thus began a harrowing journey which led deep into the earth, where she and her companions found a lost and forgotten Temple to Vrokhanna. It was there that Chilali was mortally wounded and met her end at the mercy of a corrupted water weird.
