Fence

The Fence performs two very specific functions in the underworld of any city of village where one might find them. They are the one that all other criminals go to to move their ill gotten wares, and the one to whom all must turn to find illicit means to get any type of job done. They are the individual who is in the know, able to utilize a vast and diverse list of criminal contacts to find and reach out to any corner of the the underground empires of the Criminal. Very few are quick to cross the Fence, as they are more likely to draw the ire of a multitude of clients and dependants, many of which in some cases can include the higher echelons of society. This is one of the few Criminal elements that can travel openly in social circles without reprise once they are established.
