Francis Dashwood
Francis Jeremiah Dashwood (a.k.a. Frank)
Francis started life as a simple boy among many in the Greenlands Commonage, born into a large family and raised to follow in his father's footsteps like so many others. His life was one of little notable consequence until an accident snuffed him out, only for him to rise up the following day as the first of the An Rún Marbh, much to the shock of the citizens of the Commonage. He now wanders the Eastern Wastes as a bringer of news and carrier of stories for the small communities that exist there on the fringes of civilization, face painted with the tell tale markings of his condition so as not to raise any fear or suspicion concerning his motives. He is well known and well received in the places he frequents, and considered a kind and helpful soul by the people he interacts with.

Personal history
Francis's tales from before his departure from life are very seldom spoken of. As he so often likes to joke, they were his boring years, so much so that it killed him. Since his resurrection however, his life seems to have found new purpose and meaning, and he has made no small effort to make the most of the additional time and chances he has been given. In the over one hundred forty years that have passed since that fateful day, Francis has been the catalyst in the salvation of several fringe settlements and nomadic travelers that have crossed his path while wandering the Eastern Wastes. Emboldened by his condition, he never shrinks from any situation where he feels the people of those lands are endangered by either the denizens of the Void, or the villains that exist there as members of their own communities either. While not the greatest fighter, his presence is one that tends to inspire a great deal of discomfort for those that cross him.
In his travels he takes a great deal of care to document the events that he encounters andhears about in an attempt to bring the news of the far away and remote places beyond their borders and create a sense of community among them, his Ongommu Tae sensibilities and cultural beliefs still a strong motivator. He believes that in doing so he can create a more integrated sense of a larger system where people rely on one another and can all benefit from the interaction. While many view this as naive, Francis remains dedicated and undaunted, and has been so for over a century. His reputation for selfless kindness, and patience in the extreme precedes him wherever he goes, and while he cannot take full credit for the behavioral associations it has attached to the burgeoning new "species" of people he is heralded as the first of, his actions have certainly paved the way for a greater overall acceptance of them among the living.
