Ghostfinger

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

This herbaceous perennial plant grows in warmer climates, usually in a shaded area that has some degree of constant moisture. The tainted qualities of the herb itself are apparent in that it glows slightly in the evenings, a faint, dull pale bioluminescence that attracts various insects to the plant. The plant itself is small and grows in small clumps that house the insects it hosts and will spread slowly throughout the shaded areas available, seldom growing into direct light.

Additional Information

Uses, Products & Exploitation

The leaves reduced down into a tincture, can be used as a powerful anxiolytic that can remove fear and anxiety from creatures. The nectar from the root, though difficult to harvest in any significant quantity, is actually a powerful cardiac glycoside that, if used in the proper doses, can regulate the heart. However, if an overdose occurs, it can also cause cardiac arrest.

Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms

There is a form of wasp that is attracted to this plant that is solid black and makes its nest in the soil, entangling small tunnels along its root systems. The wasp's young feed from excretions from the roots systems, a form of nectar, and the wasps defend this territory viciously.
