Nox Miasma

From time to time the weather conditions over the Ephemeral Sea are such that a warm wind current from the mainland will move across the cooler waters of the northern seas causing the extremely toxic moisture to coalesce into a thick, black fog that carries the tainted waters inland in a deadly, obscuring mist. More common in the month of Vigor, these dangerous sea frets can move several kilometers inland, and cause significant drops in temperature and damage to unsuspecting wildlife and people.

Manifestation

The Nox Miasma initially can be seen at a distance lifting up from the water surface at an odd angle, not unlike a slow moving wave about to crest. The vapor itself matches the sea in it's hue and color and often carries with it, many other unseen and blight related creatures that are all too happy to use it as a means of obscuring their movements as they hunt from within its confines. The fog itself obscures sight cutting off vision further than a meter or less, and distorts sound in odd ways causing things to seem nearer or farther than they are to the listener. The toxicity of the lifted moisture, while not as lethal as the sea water directly in this form, will still quickly lead to lesions on skin, respiratory injuries, damage to soft tissues, and possible infections stemming from the contact with the Void energies housed there.

Localization

This occurrence is most commonly seen along the coasts of the Blighted Lands from Sasha's Folly to as far south as the Carrig River and along the shores of the Eastern Wastes from Stonebridge to as far south as The Ruins of Abattoir . This unique condition seems to be exclusive to developing over The Ephemeral Sea , and is likely due to its proximity to the Void itself.
