The Confluence

The central meeting house where the Directorship meets to mete out justice, discuss and determine law, and to work out disputes. The Building itself is built within the remains of a large and very ancient tree in the center of the Greenlands. The hollow internal structures were carved out of the body itself, and through nearly a century of use, the floors and trappings have become worn and smooth adding an additional luster and shine to the place. The upper floors are reserved for record keeping and house a rather large library beside the internal records. The ground floor is filled with an open hall with a raised dais at one end with a tall, high-backed chair for each Director. There are stools, chairs and benches scattered throughout the rest of the hall for the public to use when council is being held. There is also a lesser known cellar, accessible from a hidden staircase on the second floor, hidden within the library. The cellar houses the private wine reserves and a second, secret library that only the Directorship has access to. The library contains numerous tomes and records thought to be lost after the Blight. Most of these focus on religion and spirituality, and there are also a number of arcane works held here as well.
