The Palace of Glass

This is the heart of the Becht Empire, and it is here that the Sovereign and the offices of every major station within the Empire reside. From the royal residence to the Office of Intelligence and the theater that houses the Order of Objective Representation, every major decision that affects the Empire starts and issues forth from here. The structure itself is a gargantuan creation made of steel and stone with the entire exterior sheathed in obsidian, granting it a smooth and sheer black surface of glass, thus the name. The interior is a winding maze of halls and rooms, stairs and clockwork elevators giving the unfamiliar visitor a very high likelihood of becoming lost within should they not have or lose their mandatory escort.
