The Hiversteadian people, now free from the yoke of the Bechtlarite Empire, find a domain to call their own and begin to build a home and an identity for themselves.

Under the leadership of Amaruq Panuk, who survived the Blight with severe injuries and the war of Human Attrition as well, the Hiversteadian people were invited to share the lands at the base of the God's Teeth Mountains by both factions of the Dwarven people. Amaruq accepted both offers with the understanding that, while his people would support and honor alliance terms with both, they would not get between any hostilities that may erupt in the future.   The Hiversteadians immediately went to work, choosing an inland location close to the Ephemeral Sea and with easy access to both the Culvarkt settlements, which had just begun to break ground, and the Fouvienian people who had just established a surface staging area not far from where they broke ground. In an act of respectful solidarity, Amaruq ordered that a defensive keep be built on the spot to not only defend the surface, but to also give their Fouvienian allies a point they could fall back too if needed. They named this location, aptly, Blightcap.   The Culvarkt were only just beginning to break ground on the initial structures of what would become Culvarkti, and were residing in the old caves and tunnels that dot the God's Teeth Mountains and had at one time been home to a vibrant and bustling kingdom of gnomes. Much to their chagrin, the Culvarkt and Hiversteadian scouts that assisted them discovered that the gnomes were wiped out in the Blight, having been caught completely unaware when it fell, and defenseless to the horrors it brought with it. Not a single survivor was found.
