Life, Birth
The nearly forgotten Arven Islands that lie south of the Greenlands Commonage had lain untouched since the Blight fell, the toxic waterways not worth the risk to the Ongommu Tae. The rich soil there filtered a great deal of the worth part of the Blight toxins out of the water it absorbed, but retained enough to cause the entire archipelago to be rife with strange and often wonderous mutations, left to grow unchecked by humanoid interference.
Left to grow and evolve unfettered and unhindered, the beginnings of a new form of life literally began to take root, deep within the Aven Island archipelago. A translucent being sprouted and slowly began to reach skyward towards the sun. As time passed, the creature became more and more aware of its surroundings, utilizing a unique sense of utter interconnectedness too all the life around it to gain a sense of its existence. In the beginning, there was no separation for this creature and the world around it, it simply was, and as it was, so were all things. The creature grew there in silence for some time, spreading out its awareness and its consciousness, but it was not until as if by some fluke of nature, a small mutated creature attempted to settle on its shoulder, and in crafting its home there gouged the face of the newborn lifeform causing it to reel in pain and suddenly become very aware that it was an individual, as well as a part of the world. With this realization, the creature pulled first one foot, and then the next away from the ground that sprouted it, and discovered ambulation, and was enthralled by the slow but progressing motion that this act gained for it. Some time passed as the creature wandered its home, taking in all its senses could absorb.
