In an effort to gain further independence from their reliance on the Ongommu Tae, the Bechtlarite Order of Objective Representation raise and push through funding for an attempt at a new type of agricultural implementation that utilizes science and technology as a means to grow crops in a protected environment.
The Order of Objective Representation had long wanted to secure an independent stance in regards to reliance upon other nations for necessary imports such as food and potable water. Seeing this as a means to potentially be manipulated by other world powers and following several heated debates about the state of the world should something happen to The Greenlands Commonage , a decision was made by a close vote to pursue their own means of agricultural sufficence. The order was ratified by Sovereign Jaimus Oraulicli and the needed resources and workers were set out to the proposed build site within a matter a weeks. The groundbreaking was hailed as a great step forward for the Empire to regain its feet as a sovereign nation once more, but the endeavor strained relations with the The Republic of Tae , seeing this as a potential means to supercede the terms of The Pact of Erindall and secure global power once more. In light of concerns, Sovereign Jaimus organized and held an impromptu summit of the affected nations. Delegates from the Republic of Tae, Hiverstead , the Culvarkt Council of Houses , and oddly enough, the Fouvienian War Chiefs as well. Assurances were made over the course of the talks held that the Becht were merely attempting to step up output and productivity through the implementation of new technology and science based methodology. To further ease tensions, a pact was written up stating that any and all technological and scientific strides would be shared openly with all that wished to utilize them, and that the efforts made on a larger scale through Twilight Downs growing efforts would primarily be utilized as a supplemental means to keep the population of the Empire supplies with recreational and luxury crops such as tea, coffee, tobacco, as well as various harder to find medicinal herbs.
