While not much is known of the Ghost Brigade, they are believed to no longer exist. Over the course of the fourth year of the War of Human Attrition, a virtually unstoppable force of warriors clad in nondescript white armor and carrying no standard marched on every major battlefield.

While not much is known of the Ghost Brigade, they are believed to no longer exist. Over the course of the fourth year of the War of Human Attrition, a virtually unstoppable force of warriors clad in nondescript white armor and carrying no standard marched on every major battlefield. They appeared to take no side in particular, usually showing up in the middle of an ongoing fight with no notice and never seeking to parley. They would simply appear on the borders, watch the fight for a moment, and then charge in, silently, and lay waste to all sides of the altercation. Not a single battle was won after they charged in, and not a single member of their troop was ever found among the dead after the fact. While many speculate about their origins being magic or otherworldly, still others believe that they were simply another faction that used practical illusions to their benefit, attempting to bring about a full cease of hostilities. No one ever stepped forward to claim responsibility and no manifesto nor message was ever found in conjunction with them beyond the occasional forgery or attempt to use their notoriety for other ends. Whatever the source or cause, they were at least successful in one thing. All sides of the war agreed that they could not stand against one another and this common threat, and that it was time to sit down and discuss terms of peace, for the sake of the survival of the species.
