With the Ventryte people finding their unique cultural identity and settling into their new way of life, an incredible discovery is made that shakes the very foundations of their society.

While leading a small expedition in search of relics and artifacts, a young Vhynna Sophia Grantiasti stumbled upon a nearly obscured sinkhole in the Wastes, falling a substantial distance and severely injuring herself in the process. She found herself alone and in a very strange place. When she regained her senses she discovered that she was surrounded not by darkness, but instead brilliant and soothing light. All around her a vast cavern stretched out, the walls lined with veins of opal and glowing fugus in a wide array of hues. She could hear her people above trying desperately to reach her, but was overcome with a soothing sense of calm. With broken legs and fractured ribs, the future Elder Mother began to slowly drag her way to the center of the chamber where she could just make out what seemed to be a natural spring, awash with a soft glow from within. It took some time to reach it, and a great deal of pain and effort, but when she did her efforts were rewarded with crystal clear and clean water. The pool sustained her and by the end of the three days is took for the rest of her people to find a way to her, her injuries had nearly healed completely. The Ventrytes that came to her air saw this as a miracle of sorts, and the location was marked and hidden. Eventually, a small trade depot, built to appear as unassuming as possible, was constructed over the entrance to the Hall, Hand Over Fist . The location, over time, would go on to be a vital aspect of Ventryte culture, taking a prevalent place in their rites of passing and as a haven for the sick and infirmed to seek healing. It is also one of the most well guarded secrets of the Ventryte people, one that is guarded and protected at all costs.
