Clan Uzochi

The Uzochi Clan is one of the noble families of Ummania, renowned for their commitment to healing and compassion. The clan is led by Lady Adaora Uzochi, a charismatic and influential figure known for her inclusive nature and dedication to all people, regardless of their origins. The Uzochi primarily reside in the Temple District, where the Tikke Institute, the first permanent hospital in Cairngorm, stands as a testament to their dedication to healing.

Structure

Unlike most clans bound by blood relations, the Uzochi are bound by their commitment to the healing sciences and arts. Membership in the Uzochi Clan is open to anyone who demonstrates a dedication to healing, requiring members to take the surname Uzochi and fully integrate into the clan. This tradition ensures that the clan remains dedicated to its mission, with members prioritizing their duty to those they care for and their fellow Uzochi above all else.

Culture

The Uzochi Clan's commitment to healing extends beyond the Tikke Institute. They sponsor multiple houses for healing and rest, providing care and support to the people of Ummania and beyond. Their inclusivity and dedication to all life have made them popular among the common people and migrants to Ummania.
The Uzochi sponsor educational programs, community health initiatives, and cultural events that celebrate and promote the healing arts. Their inclusive approach fosters a sense of community and shared identity, both within the clan and among the broader population.

Public Agenda

The Uzochi Clan is known for its inclusive and compassionate political stance. They view all life as valuable and worth protecting, which sometimes puts them at odds with more isolationist factions within the council. Lady Adaora is often seen as a voice of reason and moderation, advocating for policies that benefit the broader population.

Assets

The Tikke Institute, the first permanent hospital in Cairngorm, is the heart of the Uzochi Clan's operations. It stands as a testament to their dedication to healing and is named after its founder, Lady Tikke Uzochi. The institute continues to be a center of medical and healing excellence, providing care to all who seek it.

History

The Uzochi Clan was formed several years after the worst of the Golynn Plague. Initially, it was a retinue of healers and clerics organized to combat the plague. Despite their inability to prevent the plague from decimating the native Golynn population, the Uzochi healers were venerated for their efforts and established the first permanent houses for healing in Ummania. Today, the Uzochi Clan is one of the largest in Ummania, known for its commitment to healing in all forms.
