The Shades

The Shades are an elite group of guards and spies that serve the Ceannard. Their sigil is a black. The star is typically played over a stylized back fashioned in the clan colors of the current Ceannard.

The Ombrask Although many join the leagues of The Shades, the group is most known for The Ombrask that fill its ranks. Although Ombrask can be found across the planes of existence, those within The Shade are a unique group whose existence came about centuries ago following a deal brokered among the great clans. The deal committed the souls of each Ceannard, Taoiseach, and the first born heir to return in the form of an Ombrask to serve and protect the Ceannard. As Ombrask lose their memories, as well as their ability to feel and love, the deal created an incorruptible regiment of personal guards and spies that exclusively follow the commands of the Ceannard.
