Summary

Dwarves from the city of Magvul were descended from the Urdun of the subterranean lands, Known for their great craftsmanship utilising their great tools to create weapons and armour unrivalled by any other race, They are also known to be great connoisseurs of the culinary arts and have developed dishes in their homeland that can only be dreamt of by outsiders.

 

Society

Dwarven society is highly situated around mountain homes that were quickly constructed with precision thanks to their innate craftsmanship  

Personality

Often being sturdy and resilient with a bulky and dense skeleton, Like other races however their personalities can vary upon the individual dwarf.  

Guilds

Culinary excellence is highly esteemed in dwarven society and as such there are specialised guilds that dedicated themselves to the culinary arts. These guilds train aspiring chefs in the techniques and traditions passed down from their ancestors, ensuring that knowledge is kept from one generation to the next. Culinary competitions are held regularly each month where chefs compete to showcase their skills and creativity - Earning respect and recognition as well as forcing the culinary arts to continually evolve through competition.  

Ecology

Although dwarves do situate themselves around well lit corridors and roaring flames of forges, they have a great sense of their surroundings even in the darkest pits of the world. Their dense skeletons lend to a very sturdy individual - Even the weakest dwarf could resist a hit directly from a war-hammer. Dwarven historians have been lead to believe that they themselves have directly descended from the giants of old.  

Culinary Arts

Smithing and Weapon-crafting aren't the only thing Dwarves excel at, they have a unique taste in the culinary due to the fact that they are more poison resilient to other races giving them a wider array of spices and ingredients that they add to their meals - Most of which can't be eaten by anyone other than a dwarf.  

Ingredients

Having access to a plethora of unique ingredients found in the depths of the are such as rare fungi that glow softly in the dark caverns to mineral rich herbs that grow near volcanic vents - Dwarven cuisine incorporates a wide array of flavours and textures that are distincively theirs.  

Tools

Just as they craft their weapons with care and precision do they also forge their culinary tools with such craftsmanship, From intricately designed cooking pots to finely honed knives made from rare subterranean metals, Dwarven chefs take pride in their kitchen utensils often ones they've made to suit their particular way of cooking.

Dwarves love to celebrate with feasts and no celebration is complete without food and drink - Wether it's a wedding, a successful mining expedition or simply any other reason to throw a feast, Dwarves will spare no expense when it comes to food and drink, Accomodating festive dishes such as roasted boar, spiced ale, and decadent desserts.
