Sarnath

Sarnath or previously known as Magmorta by the dwarves was an ancient city in the mountainside repurposed by Humans during the Age of Divide unbeknownst that it was an abandoned dwarven colony, An isolated human settlement situated on an island east of the Kingsbury Realms it is a bustling city with networks of tunnels that hasn't had communications with the other realms for an age.

Infrastructure

The denizens of Sarnath coupled together with whatever what was left behind by it's past occupants served as a testament to the ingenuity of it's founders and the arcane forces that they willed to their control. Amidst towering spires and veiled catacombs a myriad mix of dwarven and human structures weave through the underground cityscape.   Nestled along the crystalline river banks that flow through the heart of Sarnath are watermills used as functional and a regular power source for their mechanical facilities, Carved from obsidian and adorned with sigils of power these mills provide the city a plentiful sustenance even within the city underground. Beneath the many layers of domestic districts were rivers of molten fire that coursed through labyrinthine caverns, Their incandescent currents illuminating the subterranean passages with an otherworldy glow. Spanning these fiery torrents are bridges made by the dwarves wrought from hardened cobblestone - Their arches arcing gracefully over the churning inferno below, linking disparate districts of the city in a tapestry of rock and stone.   Adorning the walls of the city were that of a thousand dwarves dwellings, Their foundations hewn from living rock with their wills inscribed with glyphs that tell stories of past occupants. On the floor of the caverns are buildings made in the traditional triptychian human style repurposing the old forges that used to house flames that burned brighter than the sun now a simple bonfire in light of the dwarves' absence.

Districts

At the centre of Sarnath lies the Forgeheart District, A sprawling network of tunnels and caverns that served as the heart of the dwarven city, Here amidst the glow of smoldering forges and the clangor of hammer on anvil, Artisans would ply their trade crafting weapons and armour of unparalleled craftsmanship - Now the domicile district of Sarnath.   Perched atop shimmering stalactites and nestled amidst towering crystalline formations, The CrystalSpire Enclave exudes an air of ethereal beauty and arcane wonder, once the domain of dwarven mystics now serves as a haven for the governing body within these deep halls. Inside are gardens of luminous flora, nurtured by the still ambient magic that permeates the air carpeting the enclave in a kaleidoscope of colours, their iridescent petals casting prismatic reflections upon the spire's walls.   In the deepest reaches of the city was the Shadowed Bazaar District, a bustling marketplace where merchants would trade in goods both mundane and mysterious, once the heart of the dwarven commerce it's warmer climbate a melting pot of cultures and ideologies melding together into one dark cavern.   In the depths of Sarnath's underground expanse, the Forgeheart District, Crystal Spire Enclave, and Shadowed Bazaar District stand as reminders of the city's storied past and the boundless potential of its uncertain future, a tapestry woven from threads of dwarven heritage and human ambition.
