Elysian Star

Of course, at the upper end of the scale we have the ridiculous extravagance that is the Elysian Star. It's a pretty enough boat, but in no way worth either the expense or the endless wittering of the idle rich populating its admittedly-comfortable cabins and staterooms.
— Celegal Arahil, "Interesting Places and Tedious People: A Wanderer's Waybook"
The Elysian Star is a huge galleon, purpose-built to carry the very wealthy across the oceans in complete luxury. With large, comfortable cabins, extravagant facilities, servants waiting on every whim and an endless programme of tasteful amusements, the Star is without question the most luxurious way to travel between the continents.
Such luxury does not come without a price, and a ticket for even a short journey is far beyond the dreams of the vast majority of the world's population. Only the very richest can afford a trip, but the opulence of the Star is enough to consistently lure such people in, and it rarely runs far below its maximum capacity.
The Star's route takes it around the entirety of Calcerun, stopping in multiple specially-selected ports on every continent to give its passengers a chance to see the local sights. Despite its bulk the Star is actually very fast in the water, being able to outrun all but the fastest vessels. Heavy layers of enchantments laced throughout the ship prevent the ship's rocking motions from affecting its interior. Even in the middle of a storm, the passengers will notice only the very faintest of movements.
The captain of the Star is Motheli Windtamer, a successful merchant captain who traded in much of his fortune for construction of the world's first (and so far only) luxury passenger ship. Captain Motheli has been operating the Star for over thirty years, and has given every indication of continuing to run it so long as there is strength in his body. As the captain is an elf, this could be quite some time yet.
