Calgacus chief of the Vacomagi, a respected leader and old warrior, hungry for power, has grown fat and drunk on Roman imports. Is unhappy about the submission of the orcadians in 43AD. Holds a grudge against the cornavi. Calgacus chooses to break from the alliance and attack the Romans at the battle of mons gruipius. He dies.
