Session 9: Manor of Madness Report
General Summary
The party began their journey back to Onza to deliver the information they had discovered. On their way back up the river the weather took a turn for the worst. They soon found the river flooding and too dangerous to continue on, so after beaching their boat the looked for shelter. A lone mansion in the distance offered some respite from the storm.
Much to the party's surprise they were welcomed into the abode without any fuss. After being allowed to warm themselves by the fire they were invited to a meal.
The other dinner guests were an eccentric lot to say the least, and they all had traveled to this estate to attend the funeral of its previous owner Mr. Whiley. His daughter, a quiet but beautiful woman, was a gracious host to the party and they had a moment to wine and dine with the esteemed guests. After eventually settling into their rooms for an evenings rest they were awoken by a scream. As the party charged toward the sound they found Alil Whiley dead on the floor. The cook had screamed upon finding her and the butler was attempting to calm her. The other guests were no where to be found. When the party began to search for the other guests to question them they walked into one of the rooms and were beset by a vision. Each room offered a different vision that showed the death (or transformation) of each guest and shortly afterword the party found themselves in fights or dangers that were represented in each vision. After conquering the various challenges presented to them they began to search the home for clues.
The session drew to an end there.
