Menos

A small pluto-magocratic city-state built along a small bay north of the Burning Expanse and east of the Dusk Mountains. They are known for being ruled by a renown archmage, Thernas of the Fifth Wind, whose tower stands in the bay as a lighthouse. There are annual boat races that occur around the lighthouse. They have above average technology bordering on artifice, but lack a good ways to travel from their lands to others due to the Burning Expanse, requiring them to either travel around the Expanse via either ship or caravan through Khalimar.

Due to their proximity to the Burning Expanse, the weather is usually warm and seasonally dry. Occasionally, storms from the Maelstrom Sea will make their way down the coast toward Menos, inundating them with much needed fresh water.
Somewhere along the coast is a fabled to be the “Library of the Unseen”. It is fabled to only be accessible by those few who are chosen to enter and is said to be the last known location of an ancient artifact. To this day, the library is more myth than true.
