Raisa Osgar

Saint Raisa Osgar (a.k.a. Silversong)

Raisa was the leader of the rebellion against the Eldaran elves that freed many of the non-elves of the Ascendency who were kept as servants and slaves of the elves.
Raisa was a hauflin born a farmer. She was naturally charismatic and managed to disguise herself as part of the garrison of one of the elven cities. She believed that the tyrant elves had no right to oppress her people simply because they believed themselves better, and envied the Bomulli in the stories she heard of them because they had managed to escape. Learning the ways of the eldritch knight stolen from the elves, she emblazoned herself with magical scaring and tattoos and began working against the elves using their own power against them until she had managed to rally a force large enough to begin a rebellion.
She fought brutally for years against the elves before Lérandora  was established. The greatest challenge she faced was when she had to battle her older brother, Laucian, a promising artificer within the graces of the elves.
The Leradrim place statues of her and name her Lady Liberty. Osgarton, capital of Lerandora is named after her.

Tenets of Faith

While the saints and heroes of Lerandora are a new form of belief, it's less a religion and more a system of belief and reverence for those who have made grand contributions and sacrificed much for the sake of their people. Raisa was not the first "hero" among the people who became Leradrim, but she is the most prominent for her role in the rebellion against the Ascendency and the founding of Lerandora. Those who revere her call her the Lady of Liberty and strive to uphold the values she is known for: valor, duty, punishment for those who would restrain others' freedoms, and using the power held by oppressors against them.
