Personal history

Ula was a compulsive gambler. When Phil found her, she was down on her luck, living off scraps, with only her ukelele to her name.
She's been with Phil's circus for almost as long as she can remember now. He's been good to her and she owes him her life.
Ula spent her days entertaining the crowd with her silly little frivolous songs, lilting voice, and persuasive manner.
When the dragonborn joined, she felt a kinship. Someone else who joined with Phil to save their live, though for entirely different reasons. They started performing as a duo, her music to his theatrics and tricks, but then it all started to go wrong.
What was once a happy pair soon turned to despair. The dragonborn's tricks became less predictable, leaving Ula uncertain about what their act was -- and was becoming.
Add to that the precarious situation they found themselves in with the future of Philonius' Roaming Curiosities, and her once happy songs have taken on a sad and melancholy flavour.
She no longer entertains with glee, but with heartache and misery and thoughts that she would lose the family she was so desperate to find.
