Vrixid

One of the species of the T'Vienor Expanse, the Vrixid were assumed until recently to be extinct. As it happened, they'd nearly been wiped out by the Vienaran Sect as they were supposedly not a native species (they were) and those who remained went into a deep state of hibernation, only emerging recently.
Or, it's something that my dudes can do once they get to this spot is wake them up and find them and locate them due to legend because you need information from them about the whole mess that is going on.
They have access to particular technology that has to do with how the Expanse moves position, and how that position is mapped, and also these guys used to have some really cool star charts for distant parts of the galaxy that Starfleet hasn't even been to yet.
They have multiple personalities in one body (according to the generator) and they also don't like to disagree with people. They're not telepathic in the same way that the Yilneh are, but they take on katras rather like the Vulcans in that when someone dies they tend to drift into someone else nearby.
They are rather small and spindly, with large heads and purplish skin. As the smallest of the native species, they favor wearing lots of layers of clothes to make themselves seem larger, to stand up in comparison to those around them. Their hair grows quickly and they will form it into elaborate hairstyles. Can be a bit clumsy since they're rather top heavy, but it usually turns out okay since their thin frames are quite durable.
