Matreous

Matreous is a human sage and wizard in Candlekeep.
Matreous has been at Candlekeep for many years. His area of expertise is the removal and bestowal of curses. He’s prone to getting sucked into his work and other Avowed have to make sure he eats, sleeps, and bathes. No matter how interested he is in his work, he will always help others if they need help with a curse (although sometimes it’s reluctantly).

Personal history

The party saved Matreous from an imp while he was researching one of Candlekeep's tomes, the Joy of Extradimensional Spaces. He later went on to help lift the curse that plagued Flag's Rest, with the help of Nax and members of the Avowed.
