Kanai

Tsama's (who the Wardens know as Adama) father.
A skilled fighter who favored a sword and shield pairing. Also known as "Kanai the knife", he was a previous king of Nitrebury and was the longest reigning king when he died having held the title for '6 cycles' (also known as 35 years). He succeeded the previous king, Christopher the Cleaver when he stabbed him with a knife that he stored in his boot, (most likely the same knife that was given to Tsama in Succession - Cursed Compass).
He died when Tsama was 15 (also in the Succession report) in the 105th Nitrebury King’s Tournament. While he was struck by a high level disintegrate he seemed to die just before the attack hit, though the disintegrate would ensure that it was impossible to tell which came first. before he died he instructed Tsama to flee as he would surely be hunted as his father's son if he did not. He also asked his son not to be angry over his death but to instead focus on living and deciding his own fate.
