Magnetic Mana Shard Cube

This item is a palm sized container with what feels like shifting sand inside. The sapphire/onyx hued box has onyx runes scrolled around the edges with the symbol of Mystra in the center.

This item will track strong magical sources. In order to activate the tracking properties of the box you must cast a spell from the school of magic you would like to track. Similar to bringing a magnet iron shavings a pattern will appear on the surface of the box in the direction of the strongest magical source of that school of magic. The duration of the tracking affect will be the number of hours equal to the level of the spell cast into it.

The colors for the different schools of magic are as follows:

Abjuration - Blue Conjuration - Teal

Divination - Indigo Transmutation - Violet

Evocation - Green Necromancy - Crimson

Enchantment - Orange Illusion - Gold
