Myra's Hair Cut - Cut Scene

General Summary

Sometime before the meetings. In a small room with a mirror and a basin of water.   Myra gazes haggardly into the mirror as she scrubs and begins rebraiding her hair. The dark rings under her eyes the only indication of the unending battles. There's a soft curse followed by a sigh as she unravels the braid she was working on. Her hair falls in long curls against the small of her back as she raises the brush to attack it again. The rhythm of the brush begins frenetic but quickly stills. She looks empty as she binds her hair, draws a blade, and hacks off years of growth. Untying the remaining leather band, her hair dances above her chin the edges frayed and uneven. Another sigh escapes her as she withdraws a small vial from her pouch.   "Nothing like a little overkill. Gods I hope I got the recipe right."   Myra downs the vial and glowers at herself in the mirror. For a moment nothing happens. Then, from the roots of her hair indigo cascades down the strands. Her brows knit together and the indigo transitions to lavender. A small smile creeps across her face. The circles beneath her eyes fade and her skin brightens. Her hair cycles through several more colors before returning to its normal dirty blonde. The ends, previously appearing to have been attacked by feral scissors, shape into delicate layers. Smiling satisfactorily, she turns to leave but her reflection causes her to double back. Her eyes, normally a deep green, have turned an icy blue. Feline pupils peer back and two patches of silver white scales trace her temples to her jaw.   She bares her teeth, sharper than normal, and growls at the reflection, "I don't have time to deal with you right now." The scales slowly recede, her eyes return, and she leaves the room, smile gone.   The room looks much the same as when she entered, the mirror still sits over the wash basin. But, as the camera pans we see four deep grooves now rake across the center of the mirror as the door swings shut.
