Cantarsus is a world with one known continent: Taisunia. It exists primarily in the Material Plane though vitraxian portals can be used to temporarily connect to other planes. The amount of energy used to generate them quickly deteriorates the portal, causing them to be rarely used.     History Cantarsus has went through three major ages in its lifetime. The first age, The Stagnation, was a period of slow growth with no magic. The races fought with sword and steel and great beasts roamed the land through much of the era before the humanoids wiped them out late.     The second age, The Vitraxine Period, started when the races first found a new metal, vitraxine, that held arcane properties. This metal could be used to imbue items with various abilities through different rituals, alloys, and blacksmithing techniques. While an individual could not use magic themselves, they could harness power through artifacts. The late Vitraxine Period was home to a period of great industrial boom as the Taisunian empire found a massive vitraxine mine.     The current and third age, The Age of Sorcery, started a few decades after the vitraxine mine explosion decimated a quarter of the continent's landmass. The survivors of the explosion and their descendants had begun to develop arcane talents. These are the first sorcerers and wizards of Cantarsus, and they have begun to document and harness their power in various ways. Some look to bring forth the next golden age while others strive to harm those who destroyed their previous lives.     Calendar The Cantarsun calendar is made of eight months consisting of four, ten-day weeks each for a total of 320 days in a year.
