Government
Mayor Deland leads a town council of merchants that make most of the decisions for the town. The local N.S.C. manager, Anna Oswin, sits on the board and represents corporate interest and demand. The mayor's assistant, Kae Jin-Sang, acts as his chief of security and advisor.

A wall surrounds the town, with large gates that have stood against many harsh and dark winters.
Industry & Trade
Many inhabitants work as guides and outfitters for travelers making their way through town. Food is mostly grown on the outskirts or imported from Oakhurst.
Infrastructure
The town is heavily centered around trade and exploration, sitting on a major road up the coast. Inns, shipyards, cartwrights, and more.

Architecture
Heavy limestone blocks form the stone foundations for village walls and foundations, while chopped pine is used in most buildings. The roads are kept neat and tidy, with various shades of cobblestones forming what once was a massive map of Khilland. It is geopolitically incorrect now.
Geography
Chausson sits roughly three miles from the riverbed, teetering on the edge of the haunted Hakan Fenlands and wild North Tullius Forest.
