The Emberstone

The primary goal of The Emberstone is to maintain the balance of fire and earth magic, ensuring the protection and restoration of the Ashlands. They are also dedicated to studying the volcanic and elemental forces of the region and are part of alliances focused on preserving Cardinal from destructive forces.

Origin

The Emberstone traces its origins back to a group of mages and elementals who stopped the raging fire of the 6th convergence. The once devout followers of the Phoenix disbanded to form The Emberstone in order to stop the ravaging fire from consuming Cardinal and created a great valley to act as a firebreak.

Leadership

The Emberstone is governed by the Igneous Sovereign, who guides the Order's overall vision and maintains the balance between fire and earth magic. Under the Igneous Sovereign are the Ember and the Stone.   The Igneous is a seasoned elemental mage, having spent years perfecting their control over fire and earth magic. They are responsible for guiding Emberstone's overall vision, making important decisions, and maintaining the balance between the two elemental forces.   The Ember is an expert in fire magic and is responsible for overseeing the development and application of fire-based spells, rituals, and research within the Order. They also work closely with the Magma Sovereign to ensure that the Order's fire-related endeavors align with the overall goal of restoring the Ashlands.   The Stone is a master of earth magic, responsible for managing the Order's earth-based magical activities, from terraforming to harnessing the power of minerals and crystals. They collaborate with the Flame Warden and Magma Sovereign to ensure that the Order's earth and fire magic is used in harmony to achieve their mission.   Together the Igneous, Ember, and Stone form a balanced and powerful leadership triumvirate, guiding the Emberstone efforts to harness the elemental forces of fire and earth in their quest to restore the Ashlands to their former glory.

Culture

The Emberstone values knowledge, balance, and a strong connection to the elemental forces of fire and earth. Members of the Order are expected to uphold these values and work together to achieve their shared goal of protecting and restoring the Ashlands. Rituals and ceremonies often involve fire and earth, symbolizing the transformative power of the elements and the delicate balance between them.

Politics

Within the Order, decisions are made by the Igneous Sovereign, with input from the Ember and the Stone, as well as other members of the organization. Externally, The Emberstone maintains diplomatic relations with factions and alliances dedicated to the preservation of Cardinal and those who respect the power and potential of fire and earth magic.

Members

The Emberstone is composed of mages, elementalists, researchers, and skilled craftsmen, all dedicated to harnessing the power of fire and earth to achieve their goals. Members are expected to contribute their skills and knowledge to the Order's mission and support their fellow members in their endeavors.

Enemies and Allies

The Order's enemies include those who seek to exploit the Ashlands' resources for their own gain, or who oppose the Order's mission of restoration and protection. This may include rival factions, rogue elementalists, or destructive forces that threaten the delicate balance of the region.   The Emberstone is part of a larger network of alliances dedicated to preserving Cardinal and restoring the Ashlands. These allies include other factions focused on elemental magic, as well as those who share a common goal of revitalizing the region and protecting its unique resources.

Religion and Magic

The Emberstone often devote themselves to the aspects of earth and fire. They are renowned for its mastery of fire and earth magic, which forms the foundation of their mission to protect and restore the Ashlands. Members of the Order are skilled in harnessing the raw power of fire, earth, magma, and lava to fuel their spells and rituals, using these forces to reshape the landscape, protect their territory, and drive their research and development.
