Tynk

The Letterer

When first the world came into being it is said that it was Tynk who wove the first arcane runes into the fabric of existence, thus creating magic itself. The first writing of the world is said to be so complex that every system of writing is based on it. Scholars often dedicate their whole lives to the study of letters and scripts, searching for a connection that might bring them closer to unraveling the very essence of magic―be it for evil or good intent. Tynk is more a god of the scholars and longer living races than of the common populus. Most know of his existence and have heard about how he is the father of magic and tomes, but few give him much thought otherwise. Still, it is usual for important documents to be signed with a quill which is burned at the end, the sign of Tynk. If ever he is depicted it is in the form of an elf wearing a stereotypical wizards attire, pointed hat and all, engraved with various symbols.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

His followers more often follow him in search of help in their pursuit of knowledge than for any true loyalty for the god. They come from all walks of life, wizards most prominently among them. Where followers of Rienntal often search for knowledge for the sake of it and to share it the followers of Tynk are often more interested in one specific subject, keeping their findings to themselves. Common traits include a reclusive nature and a strong determination to achieve their goals no matter the cost.
