The House of Inosentia
The House of Inosentia is the main ruling house in Isendree. The family took control of the Isendreen government after the disappearance of King Raul Ægir in 590 AnCog, who had no children and had not chosen an heir at the time of his disappearance. There has been some speculation that the king's disappearance was contrived by the house. Although this has never been proved, quite a few letters between several of the family heads in the house that point toward them having some involvement in the disappearance.
The house is deeply involved in the Isendreen government and created many of the current systems. For example, having the king or queen consort be the head of the country's judicial system, comes from the house's own judicial system. This was done not only to mirror their own organization but also to have more control over who married into the family.
Public Agenda
The family's purpose is to gain and hold on to as much power as possible, specifically in Isendree. This need for power and control is drummed into Inosentian children, who often grow up to be more ambitious and controlling than their parents.
Assets
Outside of the assets of the Royal Family, the house has many assets both inside and outside the country. This includes many of the country's newest castles and estates, hundreds of mines in the Narog Mountains, and farms across the country, including aquaculture along the coasts.
History
The House of Inosentia was first formed when Iban Jasso and Iulia Stosh married in 578 AnCog. Iban and Iulia were distantly related to the king of the time and were both snubbed when they presented themselves as potential heirs to the throne. They connected over their desire to rule and lack of a family to return to. Once they were married they set themselves up to join society in Kiara and begin to influence both the culture and politics in the city. As their family grew, Iban and Iulia passed on their desire to control the country and a legacy of influence for their descendants to use.
