The Imperial Crown of Isendree

The Imperial Crown of Isendree or the Coronation Crown is the most important Isendreen Crown. It measures a foot tall with a circumference of 22". The crown is used at the coronation of a monarch and to important state events. How often the Imperial Crown is worn can depend on what the monarch thinks are important state events.   The crown is made of a light gold frame. This frame is covered in thousands of diamonds, and other gemstones, including sapphires, emeralds, and onyx. Many of these jewels hang in the empty spaces in the frame. Under the jewels and frame, is an invisible layer of velvet. The base of the crown is not cushioned, to remind the wearer of the burden and responsibility they carry in being a monarch.   The crown was originally made in 742 AnCog. It was commissioned by King Iancu for his son. The previous Imperial Crown was old, tarnished, and falling apart. Unfortunately, this crown has been lost to time and was likely taken apart to cut the costs of the new crown. The old crown is believed to have been the second or third Imperial Crown used by the Isendreen Royal Family. The new crown has gone through several repairs to keep it in good shape but will eventually be placed under the care of a museum and a new crown will be commissioned.

Rarity
This crown is hundreds of years old and one of a kind. There is no crown among the Isendreen Crown Jewels that is anything like it. Many of the crowns in the collection are more modern than the Imperial Crown. A crown of its age and design is very rare in the surrounding countries, whose crowns are either older or newer than the Isendreen crown.
