Red Sands
Geography
The Red Sands stretch far and wide, covering thousands of miles of lands with its dark, iron-sulfide-rich sand. In the north, it borders the ocean. But between the salty water and the unforgiving fine sand, little grows here.
Natural Resources
Save for the occasional oasis, the desert's surface has little to offer. Underneath the rocky outcrops and fine sand lies a sprawling network of pleasantly cool tunnels and caves, rich with fresh water springs and a small amount of plant life. Rock walls are often encrusted with veins of gemstones and precious metals, hidden from the vultures who lurk above ground.
