Ceriavis

Ceriavis is a most unusual mage, known for her affinity with rose quartz crystals.

Magic involving rose quartz is known to affect the heart and can charm others into feelings that are not necessarily their own. It is very uncommonly used, as it can affect people far more intensely than the caster intended. Ceriavis is currently the only known user of rose quartz.

Personal history

Ceriavis entered the mage school of Ismena at a young age and quickly found herself drawn to crystals of the heart. At first, this became a useful tool and she was taught how to help those in emotional distress and ease their pain. However, the enjoyment of helping others soon disapated as she realized that she had to take on some of their pain as her own in order to help them. She found what relief she could walking in nature and going to the Dagdan forests.

When she finished school, the Mage Council sent Ceriavis to the middle of border skirmishes across all the kingdoms, leaving her to comfort those who were hurt or dying far from home and without an opportunity to let her feelings drain away into nature around her. Which was when she discovered a different way to drain away all the bad feelings: desire.

Ceriavis discovered on her own the more forbidden uses of her own magic, that of charm and seduction. The border soldiers were nearly falling over themselves to spend even a few moments in her company and one by one, she lost herself in those moments, imagining that they truly loved her. And then she would move on to the next border, the next battle, and do the same all over again.

When the Mage Council found out and tried to recall her for more training, Ceriavis instead slipped away to the Dagdan forest and established Bellerose deep in the Dagdan forest. It is known as a place for people to be who they are, love who they want, and find their every desire fulfilled.
