The Bow

The Bow is an ancient artifact kept hidden away by the Order of the Hunt. It is made of what is believed to be Dagdan wood that has been polished to a shine, with fairy hair woven into a bowstring. It is not certain how this bow was made or why, but the Order holds tight to the belief that arrows shot from the Bow will inevitably find their mark in any dragon they are aimed at. A few higher members of the Order know that the Bow was made long, long ago in the time when the dragon of Dragon Mountain might have flown through the skies and think that it should be saved for the day when he does once again.

It is a point of some contention among the Order that the Bow did not have arrows stored with it when it was found after the Calamity and no one knows for sure what type of arrows were meant to be used. Many suspect that it should be Dagdan wood, but the wood is so rare outside of magical uses and the Bow kept so hidden that no one has ever tried to make arrows from the wood.

Knowing that this weapon would be hunted by dragons if it were to be discovered, the Order hid it deep underground in a secure location in Alexi. Despite the supposedly secure location, a few dead dragons have been showing up with no sign of injury and no cause of death. The Bow has not appeared to have been moved when checked on by the highest members and yet, this is perhaps the only weapon capable of doing something like this to a dragon.

Not to mention, there are rumors floating around the capital that it exists? Just what is going on here?
